Spire Version 3 - Released October 2018

Spire version 3.0 includes a new Calendar module. You can link the items in your calendar with just about any kind of record in Spire, i.e. Orders, Purchase Orders, Customers, Employees, etc. Then, when you're going through your To Do list for the day, you can easily open the item related to your task. So go ahead and set those reminders to follow-up on Quotes or make sure you're meeting your customer's Required Dates and while you're at it, make sure your vendors are meeting your Required Dates. The possibilities are endless.

You can also assign tasks to other users, i.e. you're reviewing inventory and notice an item where the quantity looks wrong. Quick as a flash you can add a task for your warehouse staff to count that item and it will show up on their calendar.

Another amazing addition to version 3.0 is the 'macro' inventory item type. Have you ever wanted to group together a bunch of items that you would regularly put together on a Sales/Work Order or Purchase Order? Perhaps a cleaning kit, or what about commonly used items on a job site, or common shop or office supplies. These are different than the traditional 'kit' but they've enhanced kits as well. And, given the ability to have multiple 'accessories' on an item. Macros, Kits, Accessories, oh my!

If you use serial numbers and/or lot numbers, you'll love the new ability to post to the General Ledger using serial number/lot number specific costs. Even if you don't currently use them, you might want to take a look at the benefits now.

Also added to version 3.0 is the ability to change each of your users' logon screen to only show the companies they need and hide the rest. Lots of people have been asking for that and now it's here!
